Double Fine Trademarks “The Cave”
According to a recent listing on the US Patent and Trademark Office site, Double Fine Productions has filed a trademark for “The Cave”. Except for the fact that it’s “computer game software and video game software,” there is no other information.
Do you think this could be the potential title for Double Fine Adventure?

Tim Schafer and Ron Gilbert just announced that they’re doing a new point-and-click adventure game, funded by their (often very vocal) fans. Hit up Kickstarter and give them all your dollars.
To put it bluntly, we are freaking the fuck out right now.

Follow Up of the Day: Well, that didn’t take long at all, did it?: A mere six days after its official launch, the Kickstarter project aimed at raising money to build Detroit a RoboCop statue has succeeded in its goal of raising $50,000. The project was started following the glib dismissal of the proposal by Detroit mayor Dave Bing.
Imagination Station, the nonprofit behind the “Detroit Needs A Statue of Robocop!” initiative posted this statement on the Kickstarter page:

UPDATE: We’ve reached the $50,000 goal with the help of many many supporters and a very generous contribution from Pete Hottelet at www.omniconsumerproductscorporation.com, but you can still contribute, so please keep backing the project. All the reward levels still stand, and we’re currently discussing how to branch this project and fundraising into bigger and bigger things with a better and better impact on Detroit. Thank you, everybody! Wow.

Can’t wait to start my annual pilgrimage to Detroit’s RoboCop statue.
